How Many Americans Expat each year?

There is no record apparently. Even the anti-tax websites can only estimate from various sources. If you don't believe there could be over 360,000 Americans fleeing each year, take a look at Germany - a country twice the size of Wisconsin.

"Germans emigrating rose to 155,290 last year - the highest number since the country's reunification in 1990."

Germany has about 90 million people. Number one reason for the "brain drain" is the high tax rate. Most are fleeing to Switzerland, the US (how ironic) and Austria. But probably more than a few are leaving for Estonia and Latvia.

"Fed up with comparatively poor job prospects at home - where unemployment is as high as 17 per cent in some regions - as well as high taxes and bureaucracy, thousands of Germans have upped sticks for Austria and Switzerland, or emigrated to the United States."
